Schmiedeteile sind vielseitige, sichere und wirtschaftliche Bauteile zur Übertragung von Kräften und Bewegungen. Das wichtigste ist aber, dass Schmiedeteile durch andere Fertigungsverfahren hergestellte Bauteile ersetzt werden können. Dies ist oft der Fall, wenn die Sicherheit im Vordergrund steht oder die werkstoffspezifische Überlegenheit genutzt werden soll.
